Currently, FC Planning purchases and sells about 10 tons of heathered yarn. However, to increase sales, we thought it a good idea to tour the actual production site and find new applications for the yarn.
The product we currently use is 5 color, 16/1 Hammo/Organic Top.
In the next period, we think adding one more color would increase sales.
This plant uses air-spinning machines so it’s difficult to spin a thin yarn, but we are very satisfied with the colors. FC Planning has been using Recover™ and Italy’s Marchi & Fildi for the past ten years but since this plant uses solar power, we decided to streamline our processes and proceed.
I think this is a factory that suits the times because it can produce various yarns such as recycled polyester, recycled P/organic, and hammock.
The name of our yarn will be “Eco Life Yarn.”
This time, we plan to proceed with samples of hemp blends, jeans hanmo, and indigo hanmo.
We also handle Ecovero™ and recycled lyocell, fabrics that can be used for women's garments.
When I visited the factory, I thought that not all the spinning machines were equipped with Quantum systems, so there was a little concern about contamination. When I saw Quantums used on their air-spinning machines, I was assured that the plant was very well managed.
We are currently receiving many inquiries and are placing additional orders.
It took us three years to get to this point, but it is important to think about what we should sell.
This spinning is producing very positive results and will be shown at a sustainable exhibition in Japan next year. I hope we can continue this good work in the future.
